Livingston boss Gareth Evans expects buoyed Blue Brazil

Lions boss Gareth Evans expects a dangerous Cowdenbeath side buoyed by back-to-back shock victories. Colin Cameron’s men cruised to a 4-1 triumph over Falkirk last weekend before seriously denting Dunfermline’s promotion hopes with a 4-2 win at East End Park on Tuesday night. The stunning results ended a winless run dating back to early September. And Evans expects Livingston to face a rejuvenated Blue Brazil on Saturday. He said: “We know the quality they have and it won’t be easy. Story continues ADVERTISEMENT “After their result against Falkirk last week - to beat a team like them 4-1 - shows that they’re a good team. “We’ve drawn against them in our last two meetings. “We were a goal up and they were a man down and they came back to draw 1-1 so we know they will be tough opposition. “Every team in this league is dangerous.” The Lions go into the encounter licking their wounds after a narrow defeat to Dumbarton last weekend. The Lions suffered a 3-2 defeat, a week after beating the Sons 4-3 at their place. But, despite the goal blitz at both ends, Evans isn’t planning on tightening up at the back. He said: “We try to attack teams and go at them. “We understand that it may leave us a little bit open at the back or to the break, but that’s how we play football. “We have a way to play and hopefully the fans enjoy that.” Livingston’s Marc McNulty and Liam Fox remain doubtful for the encounter, with both having missed last weekend’s action. But Jason Talbot will be available after overcoming his ruptured acute cruciate ligament injury.
