LIVINGSTON’S Under-19s team have returned from a training camp in Portugal.
The Lions’ youth squad were put through an intensive training schedule and played against local footballing sides as part of the prestigious European Community funded Life Long Learning programme “The Leonardo da Vinci Coaching Initiative”.
And Head of Youth, Brian Welsh, reckons the trip will help their development. He said: “It was a great experience for the lads and they will have learned a lot by doing it.
“They had to learn to discipline themselves with what they ate and how they managed their time while also going through the training sessions.
“They were asked to play football at night and put in a lot of situations they won’t have been used to.
